Hi everyone I'm Kate and I'm in love with Kyiv! I raised in small town Melitopol in the south of Ukraine. When I was 14 years old I was lucky to go to Kyiv for a tour with my classmates. I still remember that day when I was enjoying view of St Andrew's Church and I got this amazing feeling that it's my city and I'm gonna live here. So I did it... not like all children who come studying here in university, but later after I got my degree in home town. Now i definitely can say that i got Kyiv in my veins and it's my dream city where i wanna live my life! Since i remember myself i like to speak english, help to people, history and Kyiv. So when i moved here with no friends and family... i was single and dating websites were great for someone like me. Foreigners start to ask to show Kyiv or help with aparts rental, airport transfer etc.. And my destiny to create friendly walking tours in Kyiv choose me itself.
I should say that I could never ever think that I'll become a guide. Still, I don't like this typical boring group tours with "look to the right... look to the left" with thousands of dates and names which you will forget in 10 min. What attract people nowadays - emotions and nice stories. That's how I'm trying to make my tours and programs: interesting, and with friendly me!
Kyiv ambience! It's really something special! Kyiv is a capital city, but still if to know where to go you will find lots of hidden yards in city center with cosy coffee shops and and easy-speaking bars, full of friendly smiling people. Kyiv is a city in the park! You can't believe how many parks we have! Each region and for every taste! Oh yes...of course 1500 history is behind... and we having almost same amount of churches like in Rome (more then 980!) but I promise to to show all of them. Lol :-)
I mentioned before that I love people and like to help, I'm in love with the city and wanna share this love with my guests. Each of us has unique personality and interests, so I always make private itinerary for every tourist! And I'm fare with city... Kyiv has bad and good sides. One is impossible without the other one! Hidden jams, unique "lost" sculptures and arts and small courtyards. Funny legends and hilarious stories of kyivans life's Fancy clubs and underground pub's Picturesque views and old USSR trams Religious Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and crowded craft festivals! I will show you Kyiv from very different side and it will stay in your heart for ever! Hope to see your soon and enjoy Kyiv with me!
