I moved to the city of soul Istanbul just a year ago, but that was enough to completely fall in love with it. Many people think that Istanbul is about kebabs, mosques and conservatism. My goal is to show Istanbul from a completely different angle, to prove that it is something bigger, deeper and more interesting.
I am An International Relations and Politics student at Istanbul aydin Universty. I am trying to multitask my studies with work. At the same time I am teaching english and turkish. After moving to Istanbul I became more confident, in everything I do. Istanbul made me feel free and beautiful. Istanbul is like loving and caring man, who makes you love yourself and everything around.
The desire to find happiness in the magically silent alleys of Istanbul is the dream of many who come here. I don't call my Istanbul a dream. My Istanbul is reality. Reality with history, narrow streets leading to breathtaking views, cats, calls to prayer from every corner of the city. My Istanbul is anise vodka (raki) and fish In meyhane near Karakoy, beer in the Moda Park in Kadikoy. It is long ferry(vapur) trips with the street musicians and dark Turkish coffee. Istanbul is about feeling and loving, it is much deeper than just a city. And as a person who is madly in love with Istanbul, I want you to feel it with all the cells of your soul.
Once you are in Istanbul, and choosing a walk with me, you will start your day with a wonderful Turkish breakfast (serpme) and strong black turkish coffee. I will show you my Istanbul, with all its narrow streets and chic terraces with dizzy views. And most importantly, I am sure that Istanbul will conquer you just as it conquered me once :)
