Friday short-walk in Minsk by local buddy

22 May 2020

Friday short-walk in Minsk by local buddy: we are going back in time to see how the unfriendly industrial outskirts have turned into the most popular and creative street of the city. Welcome to Kastryčnickaja Street. Hey, my name is Alex and I am from Minsk, Belarus 🇧🇾 I have been to 33 countries and still keep exploring hidden gems around me. As you may know, nowadays there are two countries in Europe which have their own way without quarantine and strong restrictions: Belarus and Sweden. So far I based in Hero city Minsk and I would like to show you how life goes around from the inside. We gonna have a short walk in u̶n̶f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶ ̶i̶n̶d̶u̶s̶t̶r̶i̶a̶l̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶s̶k̶i̶r̶t̶s̶ most popular and creative area of the city which is called Kastryčnickaja Street. It goes without saying that this place is special and in my opinion, it's one of the best spots to catch the gentle spirit of modern Minsk. During this walk we gonna find out: - Are local people hang out and chill outside? - How Brazilian artists changed the face of Kastryčnickaja Street? - Some footprints of Soviet Union heritage - Magic bus in Minsk reality or fake? - Why local enthusiasts occupied this street and built coffee spots, decent bars, a great cultural hub and galleries, and how crowdfunding influence on it? And even more 🙂 See you this Friday! let's feel Kastryčnickaja Street vibe together.
