The North Caucasus mountains traveller who loves her home city

My story

I fell in love with Pyatigorsk city when I came here to study. Since then I've lived here. I see Pyatigorsk as a small spa town surrounded by mountains...It is more like a huge park instead of a city. Old beautiful architecture from Czarist times, mineral springs coming out of Mashuk mountain, relaxed cheerful people. It's heaven on earth for me!

What do I do here?

I'm not a professional guide but I have a small tour operating company that makes tours and hikes for international travelers. Usually, I have a lot of office and administrative work. That is why I really want to change all this from time to time to just go walking with travelers from all over the world who are guests in my city, to show them around and share my favourite places. I enjoy meeting new people and exchanging experiences and stories.

What's the best of my city?

Coming here you should expect absolutely beautiful nature, nice viewpoints, small mountains right in the city as well as hot springs of blue mineral water where you can bathe. Pyatigorsk is pretty young, only about 200 years old. But still, it has very interesting architecture from the times when Russia was an empire. Here you can enjoy caucasian cuisine in cafes, spend evenings in nice small bars with locals, or have an all-day excursion to the high Caucasian mountains (most of them start in Pyatigorsk).

My tours secret sauce

I will share the best places in Pyatigorsk with you. We can have a small 2-3 hours walk up to the top of mountains Mashuk and Beshtau. The view from there is amazing. I can also show you my favorite old streets. We will enjoy the beautiful architecture, explore the nearby territory of interesting abandoned mansions, and I will share their stories. I will also show you a nice souvenir shop in a building of mineral springs bath (built 130 years ago). And of course, we will visit all drinkable mineral springs and taste the fresh water! I can also show you around the neighboring spa cities - Essentuki and Kislovodsk. They are situated very close to Pyatigorsk (20-40 minutes drive). In Kislovodsk I love walking in its huge park, it is considered the biggest in Europe. I can also help you meet and talk to real locals or organize a trip to the mountains. Just let me know what are your interests and we will find the best plan for you!
