My story
I’ve always lived in Trieste but I left after high school because I felt it was too boring and without opportunities. Also I felt that ‘i Triestini’, after living some yesrs in Mexico, were too ❄️ and not interesting. But I’ve started to appreciate the beautiful things as soon as I lost them: the sea, 🍦, 🍕, the amazing 🐟, my nonna’s food, just hanging out in some bar with friends or in an osmiza.. And when I come back I get why tourists fall in love with this city, which can be seem very Nordic and shy but it has a lot to offer!!
What do I do here?
I’m a TEACHER (Italian, Spanish, English) and I study International Relations (which gve me the opportunity to travel A LOT!). I LOVE getting to know new cultures, telling stories and making people laugh. Volunteering keeps me busy a lot and festivals, good food, movies and human rights are my biggest passions 🌈
What's the best of my city?
Trieste is unique! •Most cities have a historic square but Trieste boasts the biggest square overlooking the sea: Piazza Unità d'Italia 🇮🇹 • Watching the Sun Set Over the Gulf of on the Adriatic Sea sipping a Spritz Aperol is unforgettable • You can explore Tergeste’s (its old name) Roman Past while watching the panorama and eating a gelato •The Castle of Miramare is spectacular: you can relive the life of the Princess Sissi and discover histories of when Trieste was the capital of the AustroHungarian empire •Illy Coffee and The amazing Food here!!
