I was born and raised in Tropea, a small seaside town in southern Italy. I am an open-minded, dynamic and extrovert person, always ready to plunge enthusiastically into new opportunities. I always have a smile on my face, I love travelling and I am crazy about getting in touch with different cultures and traditions. That's why, during my university studies in Modena (northern Italy), I run an internship in the HR field: the opportunity to meet many people, in order to follow their professional and personal path closely, has always given me the impression of a journey into the individuals’ lives. Fun fact about me: I’m graduated during Covid-19 lockdown! I made a big zoom call with all my friends and family and It was super funny and emotional! My dream? Being a digital nomads and working for a more sustainable world!
After my graduation, I came back home to enjoy summer with my family, my doggo and my friends. I could not choose better time to stay in my hometown, I spend my days soaking in our crystalline waters of Tyrrhenian Sea. In summer, Tropea comes alive! Tourists from all over the world come here to sunbath and relax on our white sandy beaches. Our beaches and waters mean the world to me and I care a lot about the environment, that’s why I started a new sustainable initiative called “plogging”. Do you know what it means? It’s a Swedish word formed by 'pick up' and 'run', an activity in which you could run or walk collecting small abandoned waste along the path. I would be very happy to share our thoughts and our ideas about this topic and, why not, do some plogging together on the seafront!
A legend suggests that Tropea was founded by Hercules when returning from his labours at the Pillars of Hercules (the modern-day Strait of Gibraltar). This story has always fascinated me! Just like Hercules, you will fall in love with our maritime landscape. Apart from white beach and clear sea, the most beautiful thing is the warmth of locals. Funny and hospitable, they won't let you leave!
Food, food and food… just kidding! Well, as a proud italian girl, food is an important part of my life and I’m also a great activist against food waste! Here in Tropea, you can find our world-famous red onions and, if you like spicy food, you are in the right place: ‘Nduja is our traditional spicy product. You have to try it! I will show you what real Tropeans eat! As you have read, I’m an open-minded girl to whom you can talk about whatever you'd like. From food to environment issues, I’m ready to discuss it with you while walking through the narrow streets of the town center or while having a spritz on the beach…during sunset!
