Hi beautiful people, interested to see Ukraine and Kyiv! My name is Yana, I am 27 years old and I was born in a small Ukrainian village in Chernihivska region (just 100km away from Chornobyl). At the age of 20, I moved to Kyiv for career opportunities and successfully worked for 2 years at our biggest local airline. Every day, even being tired after work I walked back home slowly enjoying every moment in this magnificent city, watching and admiring very hard working but so beautiful local people. I always prefer to take a metro because it has a long history and almost every station is a piece of local architecture. Kyiv is a perfect combination of history and modern life with cute coffee shops, spacious coo-working spaces but at the same time old buildings from soviet times remain or even many of them are created by foreign architectures. So if you prefer to create your lifetime experience - I am inviting you have a tour with me to "feel" Kyiv.
From a "blind" university student I've become a highly ranked professional. Without hesitation, I grew up professionally in Kyiv. My life wouldn't be even slightly similar if I have stayed in the village, working at a local school. I am a teacher for my diploma, but I have 5 years of airline experience. Now here is a question: what I love more - my own country or exploring the world? Right now I will choose the first! But there were times I set a goal to move out, travel, and explore the world. I've achieved it by living 3 years in UAE and traveling solo for 1 year. But that's another story and I am talking about it in on Instagram (@yana_dorohova). But right now I am a happy digital nomad girl from Kyiv who wants to make this world a better place and whom you have a chance to meet. Sometimes I go to the village to visit my parents and just to enjoy the nature - I guess you can also join me if you wish so!
Food! I love it, it will impress you and I can show many vegan places (if you are interested). Not spicy, the best for meat lovers. Prices! You will be surprised to get such high quality for a low price! The city itself! Veeery beautiful, green, many wild parks, easy to walk around, has many free viewpoints. Local people! The fact about beautiful Ukrainian girls you might have heard already, but I would say our men stand out too! If honestly, amazing hospitable people live here, though not all speak English, but don't worry about that. Expats! No-one talks about it, but Kyiv is a top favorite city base for digital nomads from around the world! Also, Lviv and Odesa join this list.
With me you will discover Kyiv as a unique but comfortable city to live in for digital nomads. We will take fascinating photos at Kyiv hills from where the city view can be observed. But a secret sauce in my tour is positive energy and lots of laughs!
