My story
Science and desire to explore new things and different cultures have accompanied me throughout my life. Therefore, since my studies at BA, I have started to search for possibilities to explore the world, especially Europe with its rich history, values, and heritage.
What do I do here?
I can easily say that I’m local here, in Venice. Why? Cause I know this city as a tourist and as a local. I’ve been there as a tourist 4 times when I’ve done my Erasmus in Germany at my BA. Also, I’ve lived in Venice historical part for 1 year when I’ve done my Erasmus in Venice at my MA. At the moment I’m living here and studying as a full degree PhD student in Global History for about 1 year. So in total, I’ve 2 years of life experience in Venice and a 4-time visit as a tourist. This is my distinction from others.
What's the best of my city?
Venice is a unique city in the world and full of charm and mystery. Extremely concentrated, every monument, church or museum contains a piece of history, a legend or a tradition. The first impression will be when you find out that there are no cars, bikes, motos, skates, only people walking on foot and boats. Also you will be surprised by the fact that here you will not see any electric towers, TV towers, gas pipes. Everything goes underground and hidden from view. Narrow streets, known as “Calle”, are enormous. Relatively to those streets, the only one square “San Marco”, will fascinate anyone. Beautiful sunsets with the view of the Grand Canal seem like a magic.
