I was born in Africa, at age 19, my parents wanted me to go abroad to study. The Philippines chose me! After so many years, my life is here now. My new family and friends. I cannot imagine my life anywhere else now. Metro Manila which is where I have lived mostly is a fast-paced environment. The city is full of so much life and hustle and at night when the crazies come out to play, wooo I feel pumped!
I am a Nigerian. Pharmacist. Hopeless romantic. Chocolate, pasta, pizza, and pandesal eater. Currently finishing grad school and a part-time virtual assistant. Before moving here, I was nobody, but now I am Ms. Tee with lots of family members from different parts of the world. Living here has opened my eyes to the other side of the world and what it is like to be out of your comfort zone and thrust into the jungle. Yes, navigating Manila makes me realize I can navigate the jungle(world).
Night life is amazing but the in-depth community among the night lifers, you have to know what spots to hit. Hikers, joggers, surfers, beach goers, hotel lovers, bar hoppers, drink aficionados, music lovers, food enthusiasts, there is a crowd for everyone here.
I would show you the heartbeat of Manila not through the eyes of a local but through the eyes of a foreigner cum long time resident! I understand what it is like being foreign but you still want to get around, fit in and discover a new location without the unwanted attention.
