Istanbul is my adopted hometown. I arrived in early 2020 and fell in love with the city's history, its architecture, the food, and (most of all) its people. Since my arrival, I've had the opportunity to explore many of Istanbul's neighborhoods, each special in its own way.
I've been travelling off and on for most of my life. In late 2017 I decided to travel permanently and began my journey in South America. In 2019 I explored parts of Asia, North Africa, and Eastern Europe. I started exploring countries in the Mediterranean and Black Seas in 2020 and decided to make Istanbul my home.
When a traveller first arrives in Istanbul, it feels important to see the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, and all of the sights one reads about. What I love about Istanbul is its neighborhoods. Each one has a unique character and at least one or two aspects that make it special.
I consider living in Istanbul a gift! It is my adopted hometown and I love sharing its marvels. This city straddles the European and Asian continents, and you can see how that affects everything, not only in Istanbul, but Turkey as a whole. Do you want to explore architecture or cuisine or history/geopolitics? Let’s explore together Istanbul’s special sights and neighborhoods! You tell me what interests you and I’ll craft a tour with activities that move at your pace and will make your visit memorable.
