On the first day, the spark did not slip and it was a little sad, because I am madly in love with Spain and I always feel so good and calm here.
The second day changed everything -because of a walk with a wonderful Arina! I like to communicate with locals and to learn from them first-hand information. This is one of the best ways to discover the real city and its life. Arina loves Madrid so much that she infected us with this love. Half a day together flew by, it was hard for us to part, but !!! the girls and I came to the conclusion that thanks to Arina, we saw a completely different Madrid.
Our day began at 9 am with breakfast in one of the historic cafes, where we ate churros with chocolate. Further our path ran through different districts of Madrid: Malasanya, Chueca and Salomanca - aristocratic districts, on the streets of which not only beautiful, but simply pleasant to be. Most of all, we were surprised by the church in which the royal couple was buried, and on the other side there is the court.
With Arina it was easy for us even in the sense that she is an incredibly interesting storyteller, she knows a huge amount of information, and as for gastronomy - here she has no equal! How deliciously she tells! Thanks to her, we bought delicious presents. And what is her map of different places in Madrid!
Before this trip to Madrid, we discussed in advance what we would be interested to learn and where to go:
1. Non-tourist areas
2. Gastronomic places
3. Stories of people and legends
All these points were observed, and we received an incredible positive charge and desire to return to Madrid again but for a longer period.
