About this event
Localie Hub is launching a new series of intimate evening concerts: Friday Piano Mix After Six. Once a month, at precisely 6.30 pm, we invite you to step away from the rush of the city and spend an hour immersed in extraordinary music.
Each concert begins with a short musical prologue of 10–15 minutes. The musicians will introduce the evening’s programme, share the stories behind the works, reveal unexpected details about the composers, and offer a fresh way of listening to familiar masterpieces. Drinks will be available throughout the evening, and after the performance, guests are warmly invited to stay, meet the musicians and continue the conversation❤️ Tickets may be purchased individually or as a Season Pass, covering the complete programme from September to December.
🗓️ 25 September. Duo Pleyel’s Four-Hands Fiesta 💥
Our opening concert takes us on a glittering journey through three centuries of music for piano four hands.
From the elegance of Johann Christian Bach and Mozart to the lyricism of Schubert and Tchaikovsky, and from the shimmering colours of Ravel to the irresistible energy of Bernstein, this programme celebrates the richness, drama and sheer pleasure of two pianists sharing one instrument.

Her recordings for Linn/Outhere and Brilliant Classics have received widespread critical acclaim.
Richard Egarr a native Brit (but now Dutch), is a total music addict, a conductor, and player of keyboards. He is a 3-time Gramophone Magazine Award winner, and former Music Director of the legendary Academy of Ancient Music. He is also Principal Guest Conductor of the Residentie Orkest in The Hague.

🗓️ 30 October. Key Words: Wagner and Nietzsche
A special music-theatre performance about love and resentment, inspired by the sometimes funny, sometimes dramatic story of friendship between Richard Wagner and Friedrich Nietzsche. The composer and philosopher shared a bond that began in mutual admiration and ended in… well, come and see for yourself.
On stage, a pianist and a narrator bring this remarkable story to life through a dynamic interplay of theatre, live piano music and spoken text. The result is a poetic, living dialogue in which grand ideas collide with personal emotions, revealing the complicated human beings behind the two monumental historical figures.
Key Words: Wagner and Nietzsche is a new production by Glass Bead Theatre, an independent English-language theatre company based in Amsterdam, the performance is written and directed by Mikhail Volkov and created in collaboration with internationally acclaimed classical pianist Ekaterina Zhemaitis.

Mozart greatly admired Johann Christian’s music, and his influence can be heard throughout the young composer’s developing style.
