My story
Hello! My name is Olesya. Before moving to this amazing alpine paradise, I traveled the world and lived in different countries. But only this city left an unforgettable impression and became my second home. I can call myself an active and cheerful person, and it was in Annecy that I found a combination of a large number of interesting events and magnificent outdoor recreation. The main advantage for me « the girl from a big city” was the availability of nature an hour away. And all around the city you can walk easily on foot or, as I like, by taking a bicycle. But to truly fall in love with this city you have to go to a blue lake surrounded by alpine mountains. There are dozens of places from which I love to watch the sun go down or just come to have breakfast. At these moments, I am filled with happiness that I want to share with others. Speaking of food, I'm a fan of delicious food and Annecy is the place where you can find all the delights of French gastronomy.
What do I do here?
At the moment I am trying to find something for myself while working part-time at the reception in a big pharmaceutical company. My favourite hobby is meeting people and communicating, talking about bits of knowledge and sharing experience. Before moving to Annecy, my husband and I traveled from country to country from Europe to Asia for 4 years. And before this journey, I lived in Moscow, Russia and worked as a producer for a TV Chanel. And a couple of years ago, without any doubt, we moved here. We chose it because in this city you feel: accessibility, beauty, exclusivity, drive, movement, diversity, interest, new sensations, relaxation, and most importantly constant calmness, that in any case you will like everything and it will work for you. This is what has become a major qualitative change in my life in this city. I have never felt so happy and content with life.
What's the best of my city?
There are three things I love the most in my city - its scale, the proximity of the Alpine mountains and the beautiful Lake Annecy. It is worth starting from the city center. Annecy is called “little Venice” as it is known for its narrow streets with water channels and cozy cafes and restaurants with terraces. Then, the second wonderful discovery for travellers is the Lake Annecy with turquoise water color which can be reached on foot for a few breathtaking viewpoints. This lake is the pearl of the purest water in Europe. Visitors to Annecy may also be surprised by a trip to the Alps and walking tours to the top of various mountains. Beautiful landscape and wild untouched nature will leave an unforgettable memory. And high-quality photos will be proof of that.
