I was born in a small town in Kazakhstan, but moved to Saint Petersburg when I was one year old. My parents chose this city because we had relatives here (actually, a lot of Russians from Kazakhstan moved to Saint Petersburg). I live here for 20 years already and have no plans to leave (but it would be fancy to move somewhere in Europe later). I love this city because here you can feel the European vibe but with Russian mentality. I could move to Moscow but decided to stay here because Saint Petersburg is a truly unique place and it doesn't have such crazy rythm as many big cities — here you can do anything without a rush.
I'm getting my masters degree in Management at one of the best Eastern Europe business schools GSOM SPBu. I got my bachelor degree in Economics. Now I work as a product manager at the educational courses. Every year we help to pass state exams more than 500 children. I love my work because I see results and happy faces after the exams:)
I like that this city is like a gigantic open-space museum. Moreover, it has other places which do not have such "decorative effect" as old buildings. You want to experience classic places — we could go with the Heritage and St. Isaac Cathedral. You want to visit some modern places — it means that we go to the largest European skyscraper ( if they finally finish the infrastructure around it...). Of course, there are lots of places with amazing food and I'm not talking about luxury restraunts with high prices — Saint Petersubrg has places that will surprise you. The same goes with bars — do not visit the most popular ones because they are definitely not the best:)
I am young and ambitious person, I even might say that I belong to a new generation in Russia — people, who has an international background, who has visited European countries and has seen the way of living here. That is why I want to change a lot of things here. If you are interested in modern Russian life and how young people experience it — I can tell you a lot about that. And I'm very excited to hear your stories as well.
